ADAS Project helps owners and drivers worldwide make sense of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems: what their car did, what a warning means and which questions to ask next.
Why the project exists
Unexpected braking, steering assistance or an unfamiliar warning can leave a driver confused or concerned. We start with that experience and explain the possibilities, the limits of a general guide and when vehicle-specific or professional help is needed.
The project is Australian-founded. Its primary audience is drivers around the world; technical knowledge and teaching experience support that purpose. Australian rules and other regional information are labelled where relevant.
About Hiran
ADAS Project is created by Hiran Alwis, an Australian automotive educator and technical trainer with experience across industry training, vocational education and automotive curriculum development. He has also contributed to the Mining and Automotive Skills Alliance’s technical advisory work for nationally accredited ADAS training products.
How guides are prepared
We pair plain-language answers with useful visuals and authoritative sources. Owner questions and frustrations help identify what needs explaining; they do not establish a fault or its cause. Sources reviewed sections identify the material behind our upgraded guides. We are progressively bringing the older library to the same standard.
Our purpose and independence
Make roads better while selling useful books and resources. Free guides should answer the immediate question; books and future resources should add depth, structure or practical value. Essential safety information must not be withheld to force a purchase.
